Baseball – Casey Aldridge

The boys of summer finished their season with over 30 wins for the second year in a row. The 13 seniors finished their careers by accumulating a combined two-year record of 65-13, and a four-year record of 102-54. The 2018 squad’s 34-4 record is three wins better than last season, making it the best record for the program in over 20 years. Only two years into the Little Hawkeye Conference, the team boasted back to back conference championships with a 19-2 record. The season ended in thrilling style with a #1 seed in substate play and an appearance in the substate final game, a feat not accomplished since 2010. While the Indians ended their season with a loss, denying them a run at the state championship, they claimed the best overall record in class 4A and were ranked in the top ten all season. We want to thank the 13 seniors (Brady Held, Brendan Sher, Duncan Davitt, Teyt Johnson, Ben Krapfl, Tyler Moran, Cody Buckner, Breaden Graham, Chayton Reif, Logan Edwards, Joe Jensen, Carter Berkey, and Chris Anderson) who played their last summer as Indians for their dedication and hard work to this program, school, and community.
