Last winter, during Indianola’s final season in the CIML Metro Conference, the Indians went 2-3 in league competition and 3-3 overall. The team won the Newton Invitational, took third place at the Grinnell Invite and Des Moines East Invite, and finished fourth at the Southeast Polk Invite.
“I would have to say in our Little Hawkeye Conference we are the ones to beat,” Indianola coach Bobby Shepherd said. “Our goal is to take one meet at a time with the main focus of getting more boys to the state swim meet in 2017.”
