Indianola Girls Basketball Brings Back Rotation Players
The Indianola girls basketball team’s season came to a close in the regional semifinal in February, and with it came the graduation of a senior class of two.
8 Warren County players named to Little Hawkeye all-conference team
Eight Warren County boys basketball players were named to the Little Hawkeye All Conference team last week.
Indianola seniors Drew Kingery and Brayden Drea led the way, with Norwalk junior Redek Born and senior Braeden Carlson also named to the first team.
Naughton was one of two players to be a unanimous choice to the team.

Girls basketball players Emily Naughton of Indianola and Bailey Birmingham of Norwalk were named to the Little Hawkeye Conference first-team on Monday.
Naughton was one of two players to be a unanimous choice to the team.

Indianola girls split in Pella trips
The Indianola girls played two close games in Pella this week, losing a tough 53-50 game versus the Pella Dutch on Feb. 7, before beating Pella Christian, 51-48, on Feb. 9. The girls finished fourth in the conference at 8-6 and were 10-11 overall.

The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union announced its regional basketball pairings for Class 4A and 5A on Wednesday, placing Indianola and Norwalk in Region 2 of 4A.

The #6 Indians boys can clinch at least a share of the conference title tonight with a win, and they will try to match their hard-fought win on the road earlier this year where they defeated the Mustangs 46-45 on a game-winner at the buzzer.

The Indianola boys basketball team held Grinnell to just five first quarter points as they dominated the Tigers Tuesday night at home winning 76-45, while the girls couldn’t keep up with the high flying Tigers falling 64-45 on senior night for both squads.

The Indianola basketball teams are back home tonight after four straight road games, hosting the Tigers of Grinnell. The Indians boys dropped their first conference game of the season last Friday at Norwalk, but will try to replicate their dominant second-half performance against the Tigers earlier this year where they held Grinnell to just sixteen points and scored 36.
